Leisure Village Architectural Committee
The purpose of the Architectural Committee is to formulate Architectural Rules and Standard Specifications, and to monitor that these rules are carefully followed in the performance of architectural work in the Village.
The principal concerns of the Committee are the Village's architectural esthetics, and its principal work is conducting the Village's architectural permit process. This process works the same as the City of Camarillo's permit process. Homeowners must prepare the required documentation and submit it to the Committee. The Committee must issue a permit before any project work may begin. Committee inspectors will inspect each job to assure compliance with the specifications of the permit, and also see that all work completed is aesthetically proper, before the Committee may sign off on (approve) the work performed under the permit. Approved permits are placed in the homeowner's file for future reference. A major decision regarding each permit application is as to whether a particular question may need to be referred to the City of Camarillo. When such questions do concern Camarillo, the Architectural Committee will forward the permit application.
The Architectural Committee meets on the 4th Friday of each month at 8:30 AM in the Lanai Room. The Committee publishes its news both in Inside Leisure Village and on Channel 25.
