CHANNEL 25 TV

Channel 25, known to Leisure Village residents for years as "channel 8", was redesignated early in 2004 by Adelphia, our local cable TV carrier.  Channel 25, situated in the Village Recreation Center, is the Village's television communication center and service, keeping LV residents informed about both current Village activities and news, and providing regular television programming.

Channel 25 creates and tapes various shows for presentation within the Village, such as the recent "What Was My Line" and "Shared Experience".  We also tape shows that have been created by various performing groups within the Village, such as the Keyboard Club, Showtyme, and the Player's Guild.  This takes the effort of many Village volunteers:  cameramen, tape and music editors, title makers, programmers, producers and just plain helpers.   Those who volunteer report a great deal of satisfaction from knowing that it was their efforts that help produce quality programming.

Importantly for the Village, Channel 25 has the capability to put the Association's printed messages on the air, urgently when necessary.  Many Leisure Village clubs also utilize Channel 25 to inform their members (and prospective members) of meeting times, places, and subjects.
