Leisure Village

Ceramic Mold Decorators

Our Club in the late 90's

The Ceramic Mold Decorating Club (CMDC) was organized to help Leisure Villagers learn the craft of decorating ceramic items with glazes.  Ceramics can be in various forms: vases, animals, birds, bowls, statues, and more.

All Leisure Villagers are welcome.   Just visit our regular class, which meets every Wednesday from 10:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. in the Ceramics Room in the Recreation Center.  Once you've come to visit, met our members, and seen what we're doing, maybe you'll decide to join us.   Membership dues are just $3.00 annually.

Our members enjoy socializing while we're decorating our molds.   We trade ideas, helping one another with decorating skills we've learned.   Some take classes to learn new techniques, then share their new knowledge with other CMDC members.  Besides sharing decorating and coloring skills, we also share paints when just the right color is needed.

Our decorated items can be used inside our homes, in our gardens, on window shelves, and, maybe most importantly, they make great gifts that we're proud to say we made ourselves.

Every year, at the Leisure Village annual art show, CMDC members display our glazed ceramic pieces.
