LV APPROVED PLANTS & SHRUBS
Before making any changes in planter bed areas, homeowners must have an approved Landscape Permit Application from the Landscape Committee, which is available at the Association office. The following definitions are applicable:
Yellow Stake: Limited to (3) plants in planter bed corner to corner diagonally. Homeowner will be responsible for these plantings only. The Association will maintain all other plants in the bed.
Red Stake: Any plants that are not on the Approved Plant List. Homeowner will be responsible for the entire planter bed, corner to corner diagonally. The plants selected should be such that are not damaging to structure, foundation, fences, or create a nuisance to other homeowners or association employees. Vegetables and/or fruit plants within unfenced patio areas are limited to two (2) tomato plants each not over 40 inches high and 30 inches wide. Such areas are classified as "Red Stake".
Planting of fruit trees is no longer permitted. Existing fruit trees are yellow-staked and are the sole responsibility of the homeowner or occupant. This applies to planter beds as well as inside patio areas.
Please refer to the Rules and Regulations Article VII, in your Leisure Village telephone directory, regarding landscape changes. For further Leisure Village planting guidelines and information, please click on your area of interest in the below list.
